About the Doctors!

Dr. JoAnne Allen, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Allen was educated at New Mexico Tech and Baylor College of Dentistry. She established her practice in Albuquerque in 1977.

She completed post graduate training at the Pankey Institute, the only dentist in New Mexico,in 1998.

Dr. Allen was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1990 and completed Mastership in 1995.

Named Albuquerque’s Best Gentle Dentist by Crosswinds Magazine and her peers named her Albuquerque’s Best Cosmetic Dentist in 2005 and 2007.

She served as the director of the High Desert Dental Colloquium, a study club dedicated to complex treatment planning and multi-disciplinary case management.

Dr. Alicia Abeyta, DDS

Dr. Abeyta is an actual native of Albuquerque!

She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and furthered her education with a DDS at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

After graduation, she became a clinician with the National Health Service Corp. This Federal program allowed Dr. Abeyta to provide dental care to people in New Mexico that are under served in rural areas, where dental needs are great and resources are limited.

She is a Member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, New Mexico Dental Association, and Albuquerque District Dental Society. Dr. Abeyta has been included in Albuquerque The Magazine’s 2008 list of best dentists.

Dr. Abeyta continues to strive for excellence and has become involved in Study Clubs focused on complex treatment and multi-disciplinary case management.  Currently, Dr. Abeyta is the Director and President of the JRVT Albuquerque Gold Club and a Member of the High Desert Dental Colloquium.
