Recent research has linked bacteria that is found to live in the mouth with colorectal cancer.

Microbes known as fuscobacteria have been shown to create bad immune responses, which stimulate cancer growth genes in the colorectal region.  Fuscobacteria have been tied to various periodontal diseases including gingivitis.
