Being healthy not only includes eating right and exercising, but also includes having a healthy mouth.

The mouth tells a story on complete health. So many people do not factor in how important the health of the oral cavity is.  Active infection in the mouth is a source of inflammation. The chemicals that your body releases with the constant inflammation can affect the heart, lungs, kidneys, and even the brain.  There have been many studies showing the correlation of heart disease risk, premature labor, and lack of diabetes control with poor oral health. It is important to value the teeth and mouth and realize that in order to have full body health, all of the systems of the body must be working correctly and together.
