Vitamin D can be a key contributor to preventing cavities in your child’s teeth!

Vitamin D helps to prevent cavities by producing antimicrobial proteins to help fight off bacteria.  It has been shown that sunlight, a key factor in making Vitamin D, can reduce cavities by 74% in children!  It was also shown that consuming Vitamin D in milk and other dairy was able to reduce cavities by 49%!  As always, with proper brushing and flossing, this number can be much, much lower!
